Bloodstone Rally 2017
Bloodstone were proud to host our fifth rally on the Isle of Wight from Friday the 16th of June to Sunday the 18th of June 2017.
Weekend tickets for non-performers were £5, available from the gate.

When and Where
Friday, 16 June 2017
- Teams arrive throughout the afternoon and are welcomed with tea and cakes in the hostility tent'.
- 20:30 Listen to The Crew play a mix of raucous folk, sea songs and shanties in the Smallbrook bar. Pirate fancy dress optional!
Saturday, 17 June 2017
(Public performances shown in red.)
- 10:00 Buses leave Smallbrook stadium 10am prompt to drop Morris teams at Wootton station for Train ride to Havenstreet.
- 11:45 - 12:45 Dancing in Havenstreet station yard.
- 12:54 Train departs from Havenstreet to take Morris teams back to Wootton. Buses depart 13:15 to take us to Shanklin.
- 14:00 Morris teams lunch at Daish's hotel followed by informal dancing. Then explore Old Shanklin and the Chine on our way to the seafront.
- 15:30 Dancing at the Old Pier, Shanklin, close to seafront pubs.
- 17:00 Buses leave Shanklin with inebriated morris teams, bound for Smallbrook stadium.
- 17:30 Teams gather at Smallbrook Bloodstone Henge to entertain each other with one dance each.
- 21:00 - 23:30 Experience Wight Hot Pipes live in the stadium bar. Scots kilts distinctly optional!
Sunday, 18 June 2017
(Public performances shown in red.)
- 10:30ish To blow the cobwebs off - teams perform one dance each at Bloodstone Hengebefore heading off to Ryde. A minibus will be shuttling those that need it.
- 12:00 Ryde - Dancing at:
the dry end of the Pier (Glorishears, Steampunk, Borderline, Ælfgythe)
and Pavillion (Bloodstone, Mythago, Tatters, Styx).
- 13:00ish One Dance each at the King Lud, then finally a Massed Dance at the dry end of the Pier.
- 15:30ish Minibus available to ferry those that need it back to Smallbrook.
Of course all these timings are based on the famous "Morris Time" and may change at any given moment.
Just make sure that on Saturday your team all get on the buses!

Getting Around Smallbrook Stadium
Please note that the stadium will not be open to the public, only those with rally wristbands.
Campsite Rules
(Not too many as we want you to have fun!)
- No personal alcohol allowed in the bar or on the balcony.
- No fires or barbecues.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead and please ensure that you clear up after them.
- 5 mph speed limit on site.
- No racing around the track.
